2 Stars Good, but others are better.
I have owned this 22″ Coby for 6 months. It is fine for an extra TV. If you are looking for great sound or a remote that works this is not the TV for you. The remote has been a big disappointment (as are their headphones). I can sit inches from the TV and it is unresponsive to the remote command. Universal would not work as code was unavailable. I am buying a new TV ASAP.
1 Star horrible because of the remote
I called customer service for a code for a universal remote. None available. Could give the tv five stars but its like a great door with a key that might/maybe/sometimes works. Lots of others to choose from.
5 Stars It is a Utility-Packed GIG!

Utility-packed Monitor
If your work requires you to sit for hours in front of your computer monitor, and if your work gets so hectic that you often forget to leave the office and head home, and if you sometimes feel that you should entertain yourself every now and then by the same very monitor you are working in front of, then this is the monitor for you.
It is a 1080p HDTV, it is a DVD Player, and it is a 1900 X 1200 HD Monitor. You could any time switch from PC Mode to TV Mode and never miss the network or the local news, and if you are like me, were working when the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show was on, No sweat, I watched it live and never missed a beat on the runways.
Downloaded that 2012 movie while working and want to see it in your lunch time? no problem there either, watch it right off of the hard disk or burn it and play it on your built-in DVD player.
And all this for less than $275.00 Shipped from Amazon.
This is a complete work and entertainment gig for either the office, home office, or home period.
4 Stars 5star tv 1 star remote
This tv is wonderful for a small room. The remote is awful though , you have to be pretty much right on top of the tv for it to work. But for the price it’s worth it.The picture is amazing very clear and if you like sports it’s out of this world.Sound over the air is great but if you watch a DVD you will have to turn the volume to the maximum level.Speaker system is recommended.
4 Stars Really can’t beat it for the money … but be realistic
It’s an awesome price for everything that you get and it performs well when you consider that expectation. There are a few quirky things:
- The menu is oddly complicated (and I am a techie)
- The remote control truly stinks! It is a confusing layout plus it just doesn’t work so well unless you hold it just perfectly.
I have played DVDs, USB files, connected to an antenna for receiving HD channels and have no complaints about it’s performance here.
